FATEHPUR THAKYALA, AJK: Sardar Sikander Hayat Khan, ex-premier and senior leader of PML-N AJK has said that he passed through a long spell of bitter experiences for ten years and remained prime minister of the state for equal period. ‘There is no substitute for freedom. World is achieving ever new economic development and we are going backward. It is shocking that today our youth are drifting themselves away from religion and Kashmir struggle’ he said this while inaugurating a private sector model college here Monday.
He counted as his big achievement the electrification of Azad Jammu and Kashmir during his tenure as premier. Everything is achievable provided there is no let-up in any continuous struggle. I got education from Sukrali, a village, became premier, opposition leader and secretary general of Pakistan National Alliance. I expect the teachers of this newly set up model college to prepare the younger generation to shoulder the heavy responsibilities of the future. Whole world is moving towards bigger targets of achievements, but we as a nation are tracking backward, he added.
Principal college Sardar M Akram Khan said that a good number of students of his college have got best positions of commissioned officers in Pakistan Army, Engineering and Medical sectors. The future of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir as very bright, he added.
