Srinagar: A day after Board of School Education (BOSE) decided to go ahead with the scheduled class 10th and 12th examination, students once again took to roads claiming that they will boycott the examination.
A large number of students mostly girls emerged on roads in Habbakadal area of Srinagar city and chanted pro-freedom and anti-government slogans. The students while denounced the recent killing of class 6th student Junaid Ahmed Akhoon said that that they will boycott the examination till Government of India didn’t stop innocent killings and find an amicable solution to Kashmir problem.
“Hundreds of students are undergoing treatment in different hospitals. Hundreds have suffered pellet and bullet injuries. Why don’t Education Minister think of those students and why the government is least bothered about their careers,” asked the protesting students.
The students tried to proceed towards Deputy Commissioner’s office, however, police dispersed them by using mild lathicharge.
Students also staged peaceful protest against the government decision to conduct exams at Preng Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. (CNS)
