Jammu & Kashmir: Two Indian soldiers killed in two days in accidental fire

Rajouri, : After a soldier died on Monday in ‘accidental fire’ incident, Indian Army on Tuesday said that another soldier was killed on the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu Division, in similar incident on Tuesday.

The soldier has been killed in Bhimber Gali (BG) sector, reports said.

On Monday a soldier had died what Army said was an ‘accidental fire’ on the LoC in Mendhar sector of Rajouri.

“A soldier was killed in accidental fire in Bhimber Gali (BG) sector late last night,” a defense spokesperson said.

The spokesman had on Tuesday denied the media reports that said the soldier’s death in Mendhar had resulted from a sniper shot from across the Line of Control. (CNS)
