Three injured after Pak Rangers targeted Indian posts

Jammu: Indian Army Friday said that three civilians were injured on Thursday in the Jammu district following heavy shelling by Pakistan Rangers along the Line of Control.

\”Pakistan Rangers used mortars to target civilian habitations in R S Pura and Arnia areas of Jammu district Thursday evening. The three people injured were identified as Bhole Devi, aged 45, Darshan Lal, 40, and Vikki, a youth of 20, all residents of Arnia town,” a Defence official told CNS adding that Bhole Devi and Darshan Lal sustained critical injuries and they were brought to the government medical college hospital in Jammu for specialised treatment.

“Vikki has been admitted to primary medical health centre in Arnia for treatment as he sustained minor injuries,\” he added.

Reports said that the BSF retaliating and the exchange of fire continued for an hour. (CNS)
