To live in an ambiance of communalism has become an unending fate of minorities in India. Recently passed hate full remarks of Forest Minister of J&K Choudhary Lal Singh to a deputation of Gujjar community has again spitted the venom of communalism in the air of J&K and further deepened the gorge of hate between people of J&K. It is very tough for me to comprehend that inspite of knowing the fact that we Indians have been paying the cost of communalism since independence why time and again our so called honorable leaders follow this dirty path of communal or hate full remarks for people of other communities. Some time these remarks take a very dreadful face and lead to killing of an Indian by the hands of another Indian or mass killing of our own brothers. If we unfold the pages of our history we will find them red with the blood of innocent Indians who have paid the price of communalism spread by our so called leaders.
Story of hate for minorities does not stop here. But we have an unending list of deterioration of secular atmosphere of our country by our politician which lead to murder of one Akhlaq Ahamed of village Dadri, state of U.P, cold blooded killing of another innocent Noman of Rampur village, state of Himachal Pradesh, desecration of statues of St Mary’s church in Agra on 17th April, 2015, rape of Nun premises of a Christian school, disrespect of pages of Guru Granth Sahib in November 2015 in Punjab, coerced conversions of some poor Muslim families under the lieu of Ration Cards.
Today, as a matter of fact, people of minority communities are living in an apprehension of loss to their lives and property. Choudhary Lal Singh by saying ‘Tosanu santalyi bool gai ye’ has cleared his intention behind. Not even this but in an interview given by Father Santosh (secretary to Archbishop of Agra) to CIB times U.K he cleared that Christians and other religious minorities in India felt threatened.
If, we peep deep into history, pages of history are red with the blood of innocent Indians who have lost their precious lives in the communal riots broke out by communal forces or enemies of secularism. The foremost were riots erupted after partition. Fault of one or two persons was paid by the blood of half a million Hindu, Muslims and Sikhs across the India. India has also lost the uplifted soul in the form of Gandhi ji the great. He was punished as he raised his voice for a secular India. This bloody episode was followed by Ayodhya Riots 1992 which once again threw India in the pool of blood of innocent Indians. After this, horrible face of communalism was seen in 2002 in Gujarat where 1000 people were brutally killed and blazed under a mere suspicion.
As a matter of fact It is always a leader of nation who decide the fate of people. A leader is also liable even for those who do not voted for him. God links the fate of million of people with the verdict of their leader. So leader’s every step should be towards the safety, security and for the betterment of his country men. Leader’s every act should spread adore, nonviolence and brotherhood, because it is not asset which matters but it is only the life which matters
Those, who consider their self contractor of a religion and guide people to hate the people believing in other faith and attack the emotions of people of other community, are great danger to the infra structure of secularism of India. Actually they are unaware of their own religious texts because no religion in this whole cosmos teaches hate towards their country men. Religious books are filled with evidences which preach love, brotherhood, nonviolence, tolerance, equality, secularism and compassion towards their country men. Quoting Bible, it says ‘we should accept others to have different beliefs about God’. Ephesians in its chapter 4 says ‘Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clam our and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice. John 14:6 says ‘Jesus is truth, while christens can acknowledge the right of other to have different belief’. Even text 42 of chapter 18 of Bhagvat Gita says ‘Samo damas, Tapah saucam, Ksantir, Arjavam, eva co jinanam, vijnanam, astikyam, brahma- karma svobhava-jam. Translation-Peacefulness, self control, austerity, purity, tolerance, honesty wisdom, knowledge and religiousness, these are the qualities, by which Brahmanas work. Quran in verse 108 of chapter6 says, Tolerance is the basic principle of Islam. Quran in another place says ‘To be your religion, to me be mine’. In Surah ( Al Baqarah 256) Quran says ‘There is no compulsion in religion’.
As per a great saying (Misfortune never leave you until you take lesson from it) so we Indians continue losing our lives and properties unless and until Indian Govt. would not debar these ill minded and tarnish people from hatching their conspiracies of pouring oil in fire of death.
In the conclusion, I would like to say that secularism is the cement which binds different bricks of house of India. The moment the cement would be removed, India will not stand as well build house before world community.
