You are requested to visit our family to see what happened with my daughter Saeqa at the hands of cruel influential gang of our village? At the outset we thank media for highlighting our case of burning a young girl but now media have become silent. Please read our story first.
*SAEQA WAS BURNT ALIVE *
It is sad and gloomy story of my younger daughter Saeqa. She was 20. She met a fatal accident on 1st June 2010 when she was burnt alive by an influential family of my village Munasa, Tehsil Dheer Kot Azad Kashmir. My village is situated at a distance of 160 kilo meters from Islamabad, 35 kilo meters from Muzaffarabad, Capital of Azad Kashmir on way to Bagh and Rawlakot. You may have listened about Kohala Bridge. My village is just 06 kilo meters from Kohala.
My daughter Saeqa was misbehaved in a dark night. I being a paralyzed person kept listening her cries while she was facing cruelty of an influential person namely Kazim Khan and his two sons. They played with her for an hour and before leaving my house they set her ablaze. They even locked her in a room and there was no person to rescue her immediately from that late night operation. However, her cries forced some villagers to come to her rescue. She was severely wounded .and 65% burnt. They shifted her to the Combined Military Hospital, Muzaffarabad where she was kept under treatment for next one week but she lost her life. She was laid to rest at Munasa. I could not see her off personally because I was unable to move.
Local people demanded arrest of culprits but again their influence helped them to save their skins from police chains. After protest of many days they were arrested after vacation of their interim bails by a court at Dhir kot Azad Kashmir. However they continued threatening me as well as my other family members because they are being backed by the white collar criminal elite of Azad Kashmir headed by the present ruling party; All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference. The police have been actively supporting the culprits to an extent that a challan was presented in the court with lesser criminal clauses to ensure their release in near future.
My family members have approached the Prime Minster of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider to make sure punishment of culprits but till date he was unable to do so. Supporters of the culprits are addressing press conferences while I am unable to move from my death bed. I take this opportunity to just ask all justice loving people to come forward not only for allowing law of the land to take its course of action but to save my remaining family as well. My family is facing tremendous threats from the ruling elite i.e the Muslim Conference. Is it not an irony that a closest ally of Sardar Attiq, the former prime Minister of Azad Kashmir has started using pressure tactics to force my family to withdraw in favour of criminals? Where are human rights organizations? Where are media persons who highlighted this case in its initial stage but now they are silent. Why?
