Shelter to non-state subjects, sainik colonies, separate townships for Pandits, new industrial policy’ unacceptable: Jama’at-e-Islami
Srinagar: Providing shelter to non-state subjects whether on temporary or permanent basis, shall give them a right to settle here just like migrants from west Pakistan the majority of whom have got permanent resident certificates with the tacit assistance of the bureaucracy. The alarming revelations of Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban Development department Mr. Hirdesh Kumar are a matter of great concern for the entire people here which touches their political future which is yet unsettled. The inclusion of non-state subjects in the local population tantamounts to erosion of the special status of Jammu & Kashmir. This is the same policy which Israel adopted in Palestine after its illegal and forced occupation. The Jewish foreigners were in a large number settled there and the locals got dispossessed and evacuated from their native lands. The same fraud is being applied here in a beautifully articulated term of “providing shelter to homeless” just like “family planning programme” which was started with a purpose to contain the growing percentage population of Muslims.
Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir (JeI) while strongly condemning the vicious plots of implementing the RSS agenda which include creation of sainik colonies, separate townships for migrant kashmiri pundits, implementation of new industrial policy and shelters for homeless floating population, impresses upon those at the helm of affairs to desist from going ahead with these anti-Kashmiri policies. Jama’at welcomes the return of Kashmiri pundits and their settlement at their native places in harmony with their Muslim brethren. The creation of separate colonies is a very dangerous plan which can become a feeding place for trouble-mongers and fuss-creators Jama’at also condemns the extension of NEET scheme here which will badly affect the interests of the local students and such institutions are likely to be misused against Kashmiri’s just like the recent ordinary incident occurring in NIT, Srinagar which was blown out of proportion as a baseless defamatory tool throughout India.
