Srinagar: Conglomerate of militant outfits United Jihad Council (UJC) Monday said that it will be the biggest human tragedy if international community continues to act as mute spectator or Pakistan will not take effective measures vis-à-vis Kashmir imbroglio.
As per a statement issued to news agency CNS, Syed Salahuddin the UJC chief while addressing a high level meeting said India wants to break the resolve of the people of Kashmir by using pellets and bullets, caging them in houses and making them economically unsound. “Pakistan should either run an effective diplomatic campaign against India or take appropriate steps to help people of Kashmir,” he said and added that Kashmir can turn out to be the biggest tragedy if both Pakistan and International community fail to rise on the occasion.
Terming the role of Muslim countries affiliated with Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) ineffective with regard to Kashmir, Syed Salahuddin said that instead of ‘lip-service’ these countries should take appropriate measure to take out people of Kashmir from trouble and pain. “At least they should snap diplomatic ties with India. It was painful to see Pakistan inviting India for talks even though Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had exhibited threatening posture,” he said.
He said that India in order to strengthen occupation has been busy in construction a permanent wall and tunnels along the Line of Control. “In such atmosphere expecting dialogue from India is absurdity.” Salahuddin advised Indian mainstream politicians from Kashmir to abdicate and resign in the interest of Kashmir nation. “The martyrdom of Burhan has united us all and we must not fall prey to the conspiracies hatched by Indian agencies,” he said and reiterated that freedom struggle will continue till it is taken to its logical conclusion.
