Resistance leadership hails people for showing unequivocal condemnation against killing of Amarnath Yatris

SRINAGAR: Joint Resistance Leadership of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik hailed the people of Kashmir for showing their deep resentment and unequivocal condemnation against the killing of Amarnath yatris and rushing to provide aid and assistance to the injured in hospitals.
JRL said it is highly commendable that despite being subject to severe state brutalization and unprecedented repression for decades, and hatred promoted against them through Indian electronic media, the people of Kashmir have retained their humanitarian values and their belief in the great Kashmir ethos is intact. The protests over this ghastly act and the participation of all segments of society in them is heartening to see.
JRL said this should serve as an eye opener to those who encourage polarization as a political tool and leave no stone unturned to demonize a people through media and crush them by use of force or their just political aspirations that have a historical and democratic bases.
Expressing deep sorrow  at the martyrdom of three young Kashmiri boys Auqib Gul of Goripora, Tafazul Islam of Narbal  and Sajad Ahmed Gilkar of Nowhatta at the hands of the Indian forces at Radbugh Budgam, the leadership paid glowing tributes to them. The leadership said that it greatly pains us that our youth instead of pursuing a future for themselves are forced to take up arms to resist occupation and its consequent oppression upon the people of Kashmir. Many among the youth are those whom constant persecution and witch hunt by the state through slapping of PSAs and FIRs by the police and other state agencies pushes them to the wall.
JRL said that all bloodshed on all sides is uncalled for unfortunate and painful and should stop and that can happen only when the reality of Kashmir is accepted and ways and means of resolving the dispute addressed by the Indian State.
Leadership strongly condemned the restrictions imposed in downtown srinagar to prevent the funeral prayers of Sajad Ahmed of Nowhatta at Jamia Masjid and the indiscriminate teargas shelling and pellet firing on the mourners both in Hyderpora and Nowhatta in which scores of people got severly injured including some media men covering it. They said such acts are catalysts for peoples resistance against injustice and tyranny.
Referring to the remarks made by the Indian Minister at a press briefing in Srinagar today JRL said that resorting to nationalistic rhetoric, denial of ground realities and degrading the resistance leadership will not help in changing the grave situation in Kashmir for better.
The leadership said that if the GOI is seriously interested in the welfare of the youth of Kashmir and wants peace in the region then it has to engage with their political sentiment and aspirations and give them the basic right to decide their future dispensation as guaranteed by the first PM of India and the international Community.

Almighty Allah won’t forgive the killers of innocents: Geelani on Yatri’s killing

Chiarman Tehreek-e- Huriyat Syed Ali Geelani, while demanding impartial probe, expressed its deep grief over the death of seven Yatries. He said that Almighty Allah won’t forgive the killers of innocents.
Tehreek-e- Huriyat Chairman said that human lives are precious and Islam lays,” who kills a soul unless it be (in legal punishment) for murder or for causing disorder and corruption on the earth will be as if he had killed all humankind; and he who saves a life will be as if he had saved the lives of all humankind.
Syed Ali Geelani said that Yatries are our guests and added that we have no animosity with India nor we nurture any enmity with their faith. He hailed youth for their exemplary service, the blood donation campaign and support they provided to these Yatries in times of distress.
Geelani said that people in Kashmir have always proved that they are not following any fanatical dogma instead their exemplary valor and their respect for minority community has always remained a source of inspiration.

Not only seven Yatris but one Lac Kashmiris have been killed: Er Rasheed

Reiterating conducting a credible probe into attack on Amarnath Yatris AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er Rasheed has apprehended that security agencies may in coming days claim to have identified or eliminated the attackers by making someone a scapegoat. In a statement issued today Er Rasheed said that Kashmiris need not to be apologetic as they are neither involved in the incident nor can they stop such brutal tragedies.
In a statement issued today he said, “Mehbooba Mufti, Omer Abdullah and others have been constantly claiming that their heads lie in shame over the incident but may they answer what is the fault of Kashmiris so that they need to have their heads in shame.
Such apologetic and appeasing statements give an impression as if every Kashmiris is holding a gun in his hands and has no business but to kill Yatris. Let world understand that it is not only seven yatris who lost their lives in Kashmir but more than one Lac Kashmiris have been buried in graveyards and nobody cares for them.
It is duty and right of Prime Minister Narendera Modi to condemn the killings of Yatris through tweet but why didn’t he spoke even a single world when innocent Kashmiris are butchered on daily basis. Kashmiris have a right to ask Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti that while they are rightly finding no logic in killing Yatris, why have they been finding always an excuse when Kashmiris get butchered.
Mehbooba Mufti has done a good thing by spending whole night with the injured Yatris but may she answer why does she blame innocent Kashmiris when they get killed.”
Er Rasheed added that Kashmiris are not adverse to providing six lac rupees compensation to families of Yatris but why has not been even a penny paid to more than hundred innocents killed during last one year and why don’t their families deserve same sympathy.
Er Rasheed added that government must come clean on what was the reason behind Yatris being forced to hoist tricolour at Phalgham, as it seems just an act of provocation. Accusing that forces have been given license to kill Kashmiris Er Rasheed added that the recent so called encounter at Beerwah in which three youth were killed is ample proof to conclude that security forces leave no chance to kill Kashmiris.
He said, “if Government itself claims the three militants had just a pistol and a SLR rifle with them and there was no collateral damage, forces could have trapped all the three alive, rather celebrating their brutal murder. Let nobody forget that like Zubair Turray and Bashir Lashker, Sajad Ahmad Gilkar of Nauhatta had also joined militancy as a result of police atrocities.
Er Rasheed asked for time bound credible probe of attack on Yatra and cautioned government not to make attack on Yatris another mystery like that of Chattisinghpora.” (PTK)
