Pakistan journalists to protest Indian restrictions on Kashmir media
ISLAMABAD – The Rawalpindi-Islamabad journalists are staging a daylong protest against the most callous Indian restrictions on media in occupied parts of Jammu and Kashmir, this was announced tonight by the president of the Kashmiri Journalists Forum Sardar Abid Khursheed asking media colleagues to participate in this anti-India protest.
The protest would start at 12.30 midnoon outside of the National Press Club Islamabad.
Indian authorities in brazen-faced callousness have clamped strictest restrictions on the occupied Kashmir print and visual media after the hanging of the freedom fighter Mr Mohammad Afzal Guru in Tihar Jail, Delhi, three days back. The entire Jammu and Kashmir is awash with anti-India sentiments, condemnations. From a street person to intellectuals – all have termed the Guru hanging secretively by India as complete exposure of Delhi’s claim to securalism and democracy.
