ISLAMABAD - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)
has vehemently condemned the storming by Israeli occupation forces into the courtyards of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque, assaulting women learners inside
the Mosque, and an Israeli police officer's blatant desecration of a copy of the Holy Koran in a flagrant provocation and injuring the feelings of
Muslems all over the world, says a message from OIC headquarters Jeddah to Kashmir Watch here.
The OIC Secretary-general, Prof. Ekmeleddin
Ihsanoglu in his statement issued Monday, denounced the brutal criminal attack and profaning of sacred places and freedom of worshipping, as well as a
stark breaching of international resolutions and conventions.
The secretary-general held Israeli occupation authorities responsible for all
dangerous consequences likely to ensue from such gross violations of the holy Mosque, accentuating that such attacks come as part of ongoing
provocative systematic policies of Israeli occupation forces in the holy city. Israeli action jeopardize security and stability in the region, he
added.
