Militant killed in Sopore Encounter
Srinagar: A fierce gunfight broke out between militants and forces on Tuesday afternoon in north
Kashmir’s Sopore town.
“Forces surrounded a house in the Sopore Bypass Road area this afternoon. Militant present there opened fire
on the forces which was retaliated triggering a gunfight,” a police officer told Agence India Press.
He further said that “Abdullah
Uni’s deputy Pakistani militant Of Lashkar e Toiba (LET) Abu Ukasha Badar has been Killed in the encounter” he said adding that one army
personal was injured in the gunfight.
Earlier in the day a civilian was rescued from the same house where the militant was
hiding.
