Kashmir: Tral observed 2nd death anniversary of Burhan’s brother

SRINAGAR: On the second death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani’s elder brother Khalid Muzaffar Wani, Tral area of Pulwama district is observing shutdown.

According to reports, all the business establishments are shut and roads are desolate as public transport is off the roads.

25-year-old Khalid, who was pursuing Masters degree in Political Science from the Indira Gandhi National Open University when he was killed on April 13 in 2015 by Indian Army.

While army claimed that he was an over-ground worker of Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit and was killed in an encounter, his family and human rights groups said that he was “tortured to death”.

Meanwhile, minor clashes also erupted between youth and government forces at bus stand and main market Tral. (PTK)
