ISLAMABAD – Pakistan President Syed Mamnoon Hussain has predicted that Kashmir dispute would be resolved within next decade.
President Mamnoon in his media interview with Jordanian historian and author Umar Mohammad Nazal Armouthi who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr expressed this optimism, hoping that with the resolution of this long-standing unsettled dispute durable peace would return to South Asia. Pakistan believes in good neighborliness, he asserted.
During the meeting the President said that great transformations were going to take place in the world in the next decade as a result of which the dispute of Kashmir and many issues confronting the Arab world would be resolved. Pakistan, he said, is contributing towards world peace.
He further said that the issues of Kashmir and Palestine would remain unresolved unless they were settled in accordance with aspirations of the people of the regions.
This was the first interview the President of Pakistan gave to an Arab historian.
