JKLF pitches for filling of vacant Executive Council seat in APHC
Srinagar: Hailing the efforts of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman Mirwaiz Dr Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq for representing people of Kashmir on Political, Diplomatic and Religious fronts, senior Vice-Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Shafi Dar and General Secretary Ghulam Mustafa in a joint statement from Pakistan administered Kashmir said it is high time for the chairman to grant the representation to JKLF Chairman Javaid Ahmad Mir in amalgam’s Executive Council.
They said at the time of formation of APHC only two armed parties were part of the amalgam including JKLF and Peoples League led by S. Hameed, adding, JKLF played a major role in the formation of APHC. They said during 1993-1995 Sidique Sahib represented JKLF in APHC.
They said Javaid Ahmad Mir being the viable resistance leader against occupation the logic demands that the reserved seat for him in Executive Council should be filled without any delay.The spokesman said that JKLF has the credit to start armed struggle, political and diplomatic resistance for the resolution of Kashmir Issue. They said ever since the existence of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, JKLF played a key role within the amalgam, even at the time of its formation.
Appealing Mirwaiz to include pragmatic, bold and sincere leader of the ongoing freedom movement Javaid Ahmad Mir in Executive Council, the spokesman said, Front will contact with all other constituents of APHC in AJK in this regard. The JKLF leaders said, as per the constitution of APHC, the Executive Council seat is vacant for JKLF, adding, on this crucial juncture, Mirwaiz Sahib should exhibit a uniformity of approach to make the struggle successful.
