Islamic-Western econo-forum in London on Oct 29-31
ISLAMABAD: A 3-day Islamic-Western economic integration with top global experts/economists is being held in London on October 29-31, 2013, a top source told Daily Heights here Sunday.It is for the first time that a global forum on exploring ways and means to integrate western and Islamic economic initiatives in banking form is being held in Europe (UK). More than 1500 political and business leaders with the strong support of United Kingdom and Malaysian governments to carve out a charter for nearly $1.6 tn would be initiated. Among dignitaries participating is Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, the Sultan of Brunei, Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr Najib, ex-Premier of Pakistan Mr Shaukat Aziz, central bank governors, international CEOs and chiefs of sovereign wealth funds. The world sees highly promising prospects of the Islamic economy across the world and wish to integrate it with the growing western economic channels. Experts say if the plan turns successful then the political issues could also be solved smoothly.
