UK Pak community homage to Mohmand Agency martyrs

ISLAMABAD: Under the chairmanship of Lord Nazir Ahmed of Rotherham (UK)
the British Pakistani community is holding on Dec 8, 2011, in London a memorial service to pay homage to those 24 Pakistan army officers and soldiers
who embraced martyrdom in the brutal attacks by Nato and Isaf forces on Salala check posts in the Mohmand Agency on November 26, 2011.
The
homage service will be held in the House of Lords Committee Room Number 5a at 5.00 PM. The formal invitations have been issued by the President of the
United International Community Forum (UICF) UK Mr Shahzada Hayat.
It is the first formal homage paying event being held outside of Pakistan in
UK, a member-country of the European parliament.
Lord Nazir Ahmed has been very active in forging closer ties between Pakistan and the United
Kingdom. He heads an All-Party Kashmir Group in the House of Lords arranging periodic get-togethers on Kashmir and its potential solution-impact on
peace promotion in South Asia.
