Pakistani diaspora appeals to UN, condemns attack by NATO
Oslo (Norway): Pakistani diaspora has passed an appeal to the United Nations
strongly condemning the ISAF and Nato attack on two army posts of Pakistan in Mohmand Agency. The resolution was passed in a seminar here hosted by
Monthly Qiadat which was attended by hundreds of professionals and community activists.

speech said all allied should be treated with respect in all manners by respecting the sovereignty of a nation. He said that world can’t win the
war against terror without the support of Pakistan. World powers should defend the interests of Pakistan and at the same time provide a helping hand
to resolve the all its issues including the core issue of Kashmir.
Sharif Gundal , Chief Editor Qiadat (Oslo) said that it is shame for the
world powers that allied forces have targeted an allied country. He said at this crucial and hard time we are behind the Pakistan Army and make it
assure with commitment that Pakistanis in any part of the world shall be always ready to sacrifice their lives and property to defend the
nation.
Mirza Zulfiqar, General secretary PPP Norway that attack on Pakistan is the violation of United Nations charter. He appreciated the
steps taken by the Govt of Pakistan in this regard. He said that Pakistan Govt should continue its stand to ban the foreign troops to use the soil
against joint war on terror till the world community accepts its sovereignty with full respect and regard.
In the resolution passed against
the US-led Nato forces, the representatives observed that the attack is a violation of the UN Charter as well as Pakistan’s sovereignty. It was
unprovoked attack on the Pakistan Army, people and the nation of Pakistan without just cause. The leadership of Pakistani diaspora expresses its
heartfelt condolences with the bereaved families of martyred soldiers and prays for early recovery of officials injured during the attack.
The
resolution mentioned that during the last few years Nato forces had launched eight such attacks resulting in killing of 72 soldiers while 250
security personnel were wounded. These attacks are considered an assault on the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan and also considered to be
against the spirit of the partnership.
The Pakistani origin Norwegian citizen’s stand by the political and military leadership in this
critical time. The Pakistan Army is not only the guardian of geographical frontiers of the country but it has also played a vital role in the war
against terrorism.
"We publicly pronounce our commitment that we will not to shrink in giving any sacrifice for the sovereignty and security
of the country if needed. We highlight to the international community that over 35000 Pakistanis have been killed so far and it must be recognized at
all levels. We appeal the the United Nations to condemn this illegal act", the resolution says.
