Cracks in PML-N: members leaving party
LAHORE - Another wicket of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) fell on Wednesday as its Punjab
Assembly member has decided to join Imran Khan’s ‘tsunami’, media reported. Reports said that MPA Engineer Imran Ashraf finally
decided to join Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), adding that the lawmaker would formally announce his decision in a press conference on
Thursday. Earlier, PML-N Punjab Vice President Inamullah Niazi Wednesday announced his resignation citing concerns over attitude of the
leadership. Speaking at Lahore Press Club (LPC), Niazi said he tendered his resignation over disappointment from the leadership. He warned that
Sharif brothers would be left alone if they kept up the same attitude in future. Hitting out at the PML-N leaders including Punjab Law Minister
Rana Sanaullah, the PML-N’s defector said the party has turned into a pack of conspirators. Niazi claimed that N-League will be rocked with
an upheaval in the upcoming days. Meanwhile, PML-N held its provincial council meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday where one of its members
Saranjam Khan walked out of the meeting.
