ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister of AJK and President of Muslim Conference
Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan has declared December 10, 2011, as the Day of Solidarity with the armed forces of Pakistan. In his media announcement the MC
chief said that it was proper time to observe Solidarity with Armed Forces of Pakistan Day in an enthusiastic way to inspire the masses towards
greater commitment to the territorial and ideological defence of Pakistan.
As part of his program he has directed his party cadre across AJK
and Pakistan to hoist Pakistan flags at their residences as a mark of faith in the founding ideology of Pakistan.
Be it recalled that in July
1944 Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah during his historic Kashmir visit had addressed the Muslim Conference meeting in Srinagar
advising Kashmiris to stand firm in their resolve of liberation from the Dogra autocracy. Kashmiris see that visit of Jinnah as their soul-nursing
patronage event. That was the time when the All India Congress was buttressing its backing to the non-Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir. It was only the
All India Muslim League under the popular leadership of Jinnah that provided political succor to the poverty-battered Kashmiri Muslims and their
1932-set up platform, Muslim Conference.
However the biggest propagating ‘war’ for Kashmir cause was fought in those difficult days
by the Lahore press. The voice of Kashmiris was let heard by the world via its valiant projection. And the Civil and Military Gazette of Lahore was
the first that published the announcement of the establishment of rebel, revolutionary AJK government on October 4, 1947, in its issue of October 7,
1947.
