MFN to India: Turabi urges Zardari, Gilani to repeal decision
ISLAMABAD, Nov 23 (PR): Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir Abdul Rashid Turabi
has urged President Asif Ali Zardari and PM Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to repeal the decision of granting Most Favoured Nation's status to
India.
He also urged all political parties to use their influence on the government to repeal the decision, as the decision was fatal for not
only ongoing liberation struggle in IOK but also for the economy & security of Pakistan.
According to spokesman of JI AJK, Amir
Jamaat-e-Islami (JIAJK) has wrote a letter with enclosed declaration’s copy of all parties Kashmir conference (APC) to President of Pakistan
Asif Ali Zardari & Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani here on Wednesday and urged them to repeal the decision of granting MFN status to
India.
He cited in the letter that the Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu & Kashmir has recently organized an All Parties Kashmir Conference that was
attended by all political, religious parties, Hurriyat leadership and intellectuals of the state to analyze the effects of government decision of
granting India MFN status and declared unanimously this decision as fatal for not only ongoing liberation struggle in IOK but also for the economy &
security of Pakistan.
Conference also has decided to see your good self to apprise with the sentiments of Kashmiris in earliest possible time.
We hope that president and PM will intervene to get the decision revoked immediately taking into considerations of Kashmiris who are striving for
their right of self determination & integrity of Pakistan.
He also wrote a letter to President of PML (N) Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Amir
Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JIP), Syed Munawar Hussan, President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam (JUI-F) and Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Mulana
Fazlur Rehman, Chairman Awami National Party (ANP) Asfandyar Wali Khan, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf Imran Khan, Opposition Leader in National
Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Raja Zafrul Haq, Shabaaz Sharif, SM. Safar, Mulana Samiul Haq, Farooq Sattar and other politicians and party heads
and urged them to use their influence on the government to repeal the decision of granting Most Favoured Nation's status to India, as the decision
will have harmful implications for the ongoing Kashmir struggle as well as the local industry of Pakistan.
