Forced democracy is not the solution to Kashmir: MeA

Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) President Mir Muhammad Iqbal in a statement strongly deplores the killing of 8 innocent Kashmiri youth at the hands of Indian armed forces in  central Kashmir,  besides injuring scores of youth.
President MeA said that forced democracy is not the solution to Kashmir,  rather referendum is the way forward.

Mir reiterated that Kashmir issue is the denial of democratic rights,  and Kashmiris were asked to express their will through adult franchise ,  which both India and Pakistan have promised before the august house of UNSC,  several a times,  the belligerence  and the  vengeance shown by India for not with standing to the promises has exposed her before civilized world.

MeA President maintains that the resistance struggle will continue till to the lasting solution of Kashmir come what may.

Meanwhile spokesperson of Islamic Political Party – JK today slammed New Delhi and its local collaborators for once again starting the killing spree of youth amid the election drama.

The IPP spokesperson in a press release said on one hand, New Delhi is staging an election drama in Kashmir which the people have openly rejected and on other side, bullets and pellets are being showered on youth.

“This is extremely shameful on part of India and its puppets,” he said. He said the people of Kashmir deserve all hail and appreciation for today’s election boycott despite the fact that entire resistance leadership was caged.

The spokesperson paid glowing tributes to youth who were martyred by occupational forces and said it is due to such courage and pro-freedom spirit of youth that has unnerved New Delhi.

He also strongly the continuous arrest of party’s incarcerated chairman and senior APHC leader Mohammad Yousuf Naqash who is lodged in Central Jail, Srinagar.
